I created an animated type specimen for the font Proximity, designed to demonstrate how motion can activate the imagination and set a type foundry apart.  

Designed for a Barcelona music studio, Blaze Type’s Proximity seeks to showcase individual elements that, when connected, form complex and meaningful structures, i.e. communities that are greater than the sum of their parts. To communicate this idea, I alternated between micro and macro perspectives, using a recurring dot motif that assembles and connects to build a larger image. Drawing from the typeface’s Spanish musical origins, the animation is set to “Sonho Real” by Tapioca.
